EINSTEIN IN LEIDEN
The film depicts how Einstein ended up in Leiden, and how he came to love what he called: "This delightful spot of land on this barren earth".
Leiden is a university city, and Einstein liked to come here often. It is time to honour him with a memorable work, in which his most important contribution is depicted in a work of art. Einstein often stayed with Paul and Tatiana Ehrenfest, on the Witte Rozenstraat in Leiden. Here he is sitting with his son Paul on his lap. Einstein was appointed professor by special appointment and gave a famous inauguration speech.
The Einstein Fountain has been given a fitting place at the Faculty of Science on the Einsteinweg, irrefutable logic.
